The W.E.B. DuBois Community Development Corporation has a commitment to provide a family-centered approach to treatment and clinical interventional strategies. Consumers are children and adolescents ages three to 21 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional and substance abuse problems. Through the Mental Health Counseling Department the community-based programs we provide include Community Support Services and Substance Abuse Counseling. A Summer Camp program offers opportunities for youth to thrive in a supportive environment with mentors and counselors trained to nurture them. |

Our Community Development program's focus is on affordable housing for families and senior citizens. In our commitment to build sustainable communities, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for home ownership through Housing Preservation, Multi-Family Housing, Senior Citizen Home Repair and Rehabilitation and First Time Home Buyers Workshops. The Community Outreach program provides ongoing assistance to families through the Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, Computer Donation Program, Toys for Tots, and the School Supply Drive. Donated goods, including furniture and appliances, are collected and given to families in need. |

Through partnerships with Wake Technical Community College and other Workforce Development programs the agency offers Technology Classes, GED, Leadership Skills Training, ESL, Career Counseling, and job specific training. |

W.E.B. DuBois Community Development Corporation provides the necessary tools for citizens to take part in commerce at all levels, impacting both the local and state economies. Growth opportunities are offered to the community through employment and training. Through the Microenterprise Center, a business incubator provides training and support needed for growth to emerging businesses. A workforce reentry program, called Career Start, is offered in collaboration with Wake Technical Community College. |
